Transaction Account Guarantee Program

Bank of Hillsboro is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2009, all non-interest-bearing transaction accounts (Regular Checking, Now, SuperNow and IOLTA) are fully guaranteed by the Transaction Account Guarantee Program in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

After December 31, 2009 Bank of Hillsboro will no longer participate in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Thus, funds held in all non-interest bearing transaction accounts will no longer be guaranteed in full under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program, but will be insured up to $250,000 under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
